So here is my problem:
I found about 5 bites on my leg yesterday when I awoke after sleeping in my bed for a few hours. The bites are red and a bit swollen, no visible bite mark in the middle. They are all over my lower left leg, not in any particular pattern.
I’ve been mass cleaning my house as my roommate left the place crazy dirty, and as it is a basement suite there are lots of variations of bugs. He worked as a bed bug exterminator and had a dog that was specially trained to seek out bed bugs.
I’ve searched my bed/around my bed..in the crevices and such and didn’t see anything. I can not tell if there are blood marks or any residue as my sheets are dark currently. And I know that sometimes even though you can’t see bed bugs, they may still be there.
So here is my plan:
Change my sheets to a light coloured sheet, check my room everyday, and wait a week to see if I get bitten again. The bites are not too painful or itchy, in fact I don’t feel them at all except every once in a while. It’s been less than 24 hours and the itch hasn’t happened for a while now. It is to my understanding that bed bugs should come out and feast on me every few days right?
My only thing is that I work night shifts, so I’m never home during the “feeding hours” of dusk. I’m hoping that if they are hungry enough they will come out as my room isn’t the brightest.
If I leave this for a week, how much worse would the infestation get if there is one?

My dog has been scratching alot lately and we think its fleas. We have given him several baths over the past few days and to no fail each time i have found fleas/ bugs in the tub. He gets very relazed after the baths and instantly falls asleep. The only problem is these fleas keep reoccuring. I have washed the bed clothes, his bed, EVERYTHING. i am getting sick of this.
My question is im out of flea shampoo and i dont want to keep giving him baths since its not good. I need a home remedy or something that willl kill the fleas to use in a bath, like a shampoo??? Please help im at my wits end.
p.s. my dog is a pug and around his muzzle its starting to swell and turn red. I thought it was an infection bc of the eye fluid etc. I figured i would mention it since it may be related.
i only need a home remedy right now bc well its almost 1 and i cant get to the store.
