I’ve got red itchy bumps at night. Are they bed bugs or something else?

I know they aren’t mosquito bites because I’ve gotten those before, these are different. This evening, I showered and put on a new dress. But, as I was sitting downstairs watching tv I got two more bumps. I slept on a different bed in another room, and during my sleep on the new bed I got more bumps. They are extremely itchy and reallly annoying. Can bugs stay on your body and only start to bite at night? I’m going to start an all out cleaning frenzy tomorrow with my mattress, clothes, and room, but it’s Tet right now, which means all markets are closed so I need to try some home remedies before I try to find chemicals to use. Is this a bug problem or could it be something that’s wrong with my body?
