I moved into an apartment with a serious bed bug problem, left by the previous owners. now I’ve heard of Diatomaceous Earth and how it can kill all sorts of bugs, but people are praising it with a little too much enthusiasm. It’s making me nervous. I need to know, does Diatomaceous Earth really kill bed bugs. is it safe around my cat? Is it harmful if inhaled? if it’s safe, where can I get it and how do I apply it? the sooner the answer, the better off I’ll be.

I’m living in Vietnam, and for the past two nights i’ve woken up with itchy red spots on my arms and legs. My skin feels irritated so I start to itch and the bumps appear. I know they aren’t mosquito bites because I’ve gotten those before, these are different. This evening, I showered and put on a new dress. But, as I was sitting downstairs watching tv I got two more bumps. I slept on a different bed in another room, and during my sleep on the new bed I got more bumps. They are extremely itchy and reallly annoying. Can bugs stay on your body and only start to bite at night? I’m going to start an all out cleaning frenzy tomorrow with my mattress, clothes, and room, but it’s Tet right now, which means all markets are closed so I need to try some home remedies before I try to find chemicals to use. Is this a bug problem or could it be something that’s wrong with my body?
