I’ve just found three bed bugs on my bed tonight while i was cleaning the liners. OMG. i’ve never been so frightened ever in my life, i’m even sweating badly and have goosebumps just thinking of them right now
anyways, yes. i’m definitely clean. i shower everyday, clean liners frequently. but what the? why do they appear on my bed though?
Q1) just because of the fact that i’m really really scared of bugs, i’m even afraid to look at the bed bugs professional webpages…so here’s the only place where i could look for help.
so ummm, for now i’m still unsure if its a bed bug
but uh, how it looked like was that it’s brown color with a hairy back and after i squished one of them…it had ‘WHITE’ juice? rather than ‘blood’?
so that’s what made me unsure if those are bed bugs or not…
Q2) if so, how can get rid of them w/o involving professionals?
could i just pray my bed with lysol and leave it in a open area for a day?
i’m definitely not sleeping it tonight though
WHAT SHOULD I DO? HELP
hey guys, thanks for ALL THE GREAT ADVICES AND COMMENTS! i really feel that i’m not alone anymore in this fight against the ‘bugs’
anyhow, i’ve called two professionals today to ask them if they were REAL ‘bedbugs’ or not cause the one i’ve found had ‘white juice’, instead of ‘blood’when i squeezed n’ killed one of them. Both of them said that they’re ‘Carpet Beatles’… so that’s a relief…
but then again they’re still pests…
what should i do what should i do??

Well whatever you do, dont let ‘em bite.
i would buy a new mattress and clean the framing of the bed.
These websites may help you decide if what you found are actually bed bugs and how to treat them if they are
call an exterminator
I had always use Baking soda on my beds every time i clean my sheets I never had bed bugs. If that don’t work buy a new 1.
OMG I feel your pain. I have been thru this and I must say its a total nightmare.
OK first off calm down. It has nothing at all to do with cleanliness. Dont make yourself crazy over that. ( I did ) Bedbugs are very common now days. You can get them anywhere. Most times you get them traveling, but you can pick them up just about anywhere and never know. If you live in an apt they could have “moved” from your neighbors to you.
First you need to know if they are bedbugs. I’m not so sure they are. Have someone you know look up some info for ya. If you are really scared of bugs DONT look at the websites. I freaked out after reading all the info. You learn alot but might not wanna know all about them.
Are you itchy? Do you have what look like mosquito bites on ya? The bites are generally in clusters or in one general area but all over. I thought I had a rash, but turns out I was allergic to there bites. They didnt bother my husband though.
Unfortunately there really is no way to get rid of them without professional help. I tried and failed and the investation got worse as I tried to “battle” them on my own. Basically I just moved them to another area of the house. You have to find the “nest” and that is not visible to the naked eye. They lay eggs and just spread. Nothing you can buy on the market will do it. Dont waste your money on the on-line sights either.
They are going to tell you to throw out just about everything. They can live for 16 months without blood aka food, so they are hard to find and kill. They hide in the folds of the mattress, in pillows, headboards, behind light switches and all the places you cant see.
My advice is have a friend help ya determine if it is a bedbug and then if so call pest control ASAP!
This isnt a solution but a nightly quick fix: They say to put clean linen on everynight. We would put our sheets and comforter in the dryer on high for 20 minutes, same with pillows. Extreme heat kills them. Pull your bed out from the wall also. I dont know if it did, but gave me a little piece of mind to help me sleep.
I wish you the best of luck & as I said I totally understand what your going thru.
